MISSION & VISION

Doctrine, Culture, and Mission
GOSPEL DOCTRINE – What We Believe
At the core of our doctrine is the gospel of Jesus Christ—the glorious truth that Jesus Christ died and was raised so that sinners would be reconciled to God. The gospel is our primary passion and the driving influence in our churches’ preaching, worship, small groups, and outreach. The truth of the gospel of grace will overflow into the creation of gospel culture.
GOSPEL CULTURE – How We Act
Gospel doctrine when truly believed transforms how we think, how we see the world and how we act. These transformed lives create a gospel culture. This culture of grace is evident in how a redeemed people, love God and love each other. How we parent, date, live our vocation and interact with our coworkers and neighbors is informed by our understanding of the gospel. When what God’s people believe is shown in how they act, they now have credibility in the message they proclaim. And that proclamation is gospel mission.
GOSPEL MISSION – What We Do

With gospel doctrine transforming a church’s culture, we can now be about what God has called His church to do. Our mission statement comes from the Great Commission and is this:

Sovereign Grace Church’s Mission is to Join God in Spreading His Fame through Making Disciples of Jesus to the Ends of the Earth and to the End of the Age.

We understand that we are humans and will not act perfectly or fulfill our mission perfectly. So it is in the power of the Holy Spirit that we will continually grow and pursue Jesus. And in our pursuit of Jesus we will grow in our love for each other and the mission we are to be about in this world.
